Open Registered Products
Open a registered investment account!
After opening a MAXA membership, you may also want to open a Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) or Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF) account. An initial deposit must be made when opening a registered investment product.
A TFSA, RRSP, RRIF savings account will be opened to provide you with the convenience of making TFSA or RRSP contributions at any time using online banking or over the phone.
Current MAXA members holding joint accounts wishing to open a registered account are required to purchase an additional $5 membership share and open an individual account. Registered products must be held under individual accounts.
Complete each of the forms below to open a TFSA.
- TFSA Application and Declaration of Trust
- Declare a beneficiary by filling out ONE of the following forms:
- Appointment of Successor Holder and Optional Beneficiary Designation OR
This form must be completed when the holder wishes to have their spouse or common-law partner receive all payments under the TFSA contract after the death of the holder. - Designation of Beneficiary
Use only when appointing a Designation of Beneficiary.

If you are transferring an existing TFSA from another institution, please also complete the Direct Transfer In for Registered Plans form.
